An Interesting Barn

This barn is on a corner near the restaurant where we eat lunch every Sunday. It's always intrigued me, so I captured a few pictures of it recently.

Most of the bricks used in the construction of the barn are hollow. I have no idea of the purpose for which the barn was originally built, but it seems to be used for miscellaneous storage these days.

It kind of looks as if there may have been living quarters in the top section at one time or another.

  1. That may be one of the most interesting barns I have ever seen... SO pretty --and it looks so neat and clean compared to many barns...

Wonder what they have up in the top part.... Looks like a room up there. Wonder if someone lives there!!!!! ha

  5. Brick barns are rare, but this one has a lot of charm. It could use some TLC, however.

  7. I like buildings made of bricks and the barn definitely looks interesting. It seems that there is also space used in the walls as they are so wide and a door can be seen inside.

    Thanks for sharing, Linda! :)

  8. Different and charming for sure. I suspect that someone/something still lives up there.. but I don't think I'd want to share space with them. ;)
