We came across this unusual building today, as we drove through the tiny town of Wren, Ohio (population approximately 200). At first, we thought it was abandoned; but I'm not so sure after looking a little closer.
This is the stained glass above the entrance.
There are two of these stained-glass windows, one on either side of the front entrance.
interesting! too large to be a mausoleum but that's sort of what it reminds me of. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fascinating, Linda! Like TexWisGirl, it sort of reminds me of a mausoleum as well! Nice find! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteA mystery!!!
ReplyDeleteTex - We thought of a mausoleum, too; but the building seems far too large for that. Plus, it's not in a cemetery but is surrounded by farm fields.
ReplyDeleteLinda - Great minds think alike. :)
Margaret - It is, indeed.
The building looks like a chapel or something like that, definitely not like a family house. Mausoleum was also my first idea. I like those narrow stained-glass windows.
ReplyDeleteWell, Petra, the vote seems to be unanimous regarding a mausoleum. Maybe it's a family tomb, located on the family farm. I may need to go back to that tiny town and ask someone who would know.
