Evolution of a Sunset

Saturday was a day marked by heavily clouded skies. Doug and I visited Doug's brother that evening, in another town a little over an hour away. As we drove home that night, it didn't seem possible that the setting sun would be able to penetrate those thick clouds, but it did.

  5. You do need good clouds for a dramatic sunset.. of course you need the space between them to let the sun through. Clearly you got both. It always amazes me how something as ugly as a cell tower (or a construction site.. or otherwise boring building) can look stunning in the right sunlight. And you have indeed captured the right sunlight beautifully.

  6. The colourful cell phone tower lit by the setting sun looks impressive against the clouded sky, lovely contrast!
