We visited Ouabache State Park on August 8, where I captured most of the following images:
Not as pretty as a butterfly, but interesting nonetheless |
The following photo is of a tiny bouquet that Doug brought in from our yard yesterday, with a few Rose of Sharon blossoms and some wild daisies. It was such a cheerful little grouping...and sweet of my hubby to bring it in for me.
It's always nice to get flowers! You stalked those butterflies well. My eye is slowly clearing but still has some spots.
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling at your comment, Steve. "Stalking" is right. Those little buggers don't stay still for long. Glad to hear your eyes are clearing some.
DeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful photos with us. Doug is definitely a keeper, but I suspect that you already know that!
ReplyDeleteYes, George, I definitely knew that Doug was a keeper, even before he brought me this charming little bouquet. After all, he's put up with me for 30 years!
DeleteBeautiful series, Linda! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.
DeleteI can't decide which I like better, the butterflies or the bouquet. The butterflies are pretty and fascinating, but the bouquet obviously was delivered with love. That's pretty special.
ReplyDeleteRuth, I like the butterflies; but I love the bouquet...and for the very reason you mentioned. :)
DeleteSuch nice and colorful images. Hope you had a great time at the state park.

Thanks, Mersad. We visit this park often and always enjoy it.
DeleteAh Linda.... Love the butterflies --but really LOVE the sweet bouquet of flowers your Sweetheart brought in for you... That is just so special...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
I agree, Betsy. That tiny little bouquet warmed my heart.
DeleteOh my! You captured very pretty images.....even a mushroom looking thing
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim. I thought that mushroom-looking thing was interesting. I'd never seen one quite like it.
DeleteNice images of the butterflies, Linda, I'm rarely patient enough to get a decent shot of these relentless creatures. Lovely little bouquet... :)
ReplyDeleteIt CAN be challenging to capture butterfly images, Petra. They're faster than you would think. Dragonflies, although fast fliers, are actually easier to photograph because they'll often return to a perch after initially flying away when you first approach them.
