These are some pictures of dragonflies that I captured last year on one of our visits to Ouabache State Park. I haven't had a chance to get photos of them yet this year. Our spring has been on the cool side; and, although I've seen a few buzzing around, they don't seem to be out in abundance yet.

ours are zooming about and i'm guessing they're finding a bounty of skeeters to eat. :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots. I have trouble getting really good pictures of dragonflies.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Linda!!! :)
ReplyDeleteExquiste image of the dragonfly
ReplyDeleteOnly seeing a few here. Found one emerging the other day and stayed and watched it for a bit.Saw my first Gulf Fritillary yesterday arriving with the cosmos blooms.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures, Linda, I like especially the one with the crouching posture.
ReplyDeleteI like that one, too, Petra, even though it doesn't show off the wings as well. I'm continually amazed at how pretty dragonflies actually are and how many different color patterns there are.
