Our little community's summer festival ran from last Thursday through Saturday. It's always a time for the local folks to host garage sales, and garage sales are just as popular among the Amish as they are among the English (non-Amish).
Amish or English, creativity in parking is often a necessity when shopping garage sales. One Amish woman solved her problem by tying her horse to a utility pole across the road from our house, while browsing through the items at a neighbor's garage sale.
As I've mentioned before, the Amish do not like to have their pictures taken; and I try to respect that. But I have no qualms about taking photos of an unoccupied buggy and its attached horse. So here are a few for you.
