Butterflies & More

We visited Ouabache State Park on August 8, where I captured most of the following images:

Not as pretty as a butterfly, but interesting nonetheless

The following photo is of a tiny bouquet that Doug brought in from our yard yesterday, with a few Rose of Sharon blossoms and some wild daisies. It was such a cheerful little grouping...and sweet of my hubby to bring it in for me.

  1. It's always nice to get flowers! You stalked those butterflies well. My eye is slowly clearing but still has some spots.

    1. I'm smiling at your comment, Steve. "Stalking" is right. Those little buggers don't stay still for long. Glad to hear your eyes are clearing some.

    1. Yes, George, I definitely knew that Doug was a keeper, even before he brought me this charming little bouquet. After all, he's put up with me for 30 years!

  4. I can't decide which I like better, the butterflies or the bouquet. The butterflies are pretty and fascinating, but the bouquet obviously was delivered with love. That's pretty special.

  8. Nice images of the butterflies, Linda, I'm rarely patient enough to get a decent shot of these relentless creatures. Lovely little bouquet... :)

    1. It CAN be challenging to capture butterfly images, Petra. They're faster than you would think. Dragonflies, although fast fliers, are actually easier to photograph because they'll often return to a perch after initially flying away when you first approach them.
