Canada Geese at Ouabache State Park

These pictures are from two recent visits to Ouabache State Park, which is about an hour's drive from our home. We like to go there once every week or two to just spend a relaxing afternoon of reading and enjoying the birds and the serenity of the place.

The first two photos of a family of Canada Geese were taken on May 1, 2015.

The image below was taken six days later, on May 7th. Although it's not apparent in the picture, the goslings had grown significantly in that short time.

Back soon with more.

  1. so precious! they're so vulnerable when they're young.

(and i meant to say, i'm glad your bil is doing well - as well as can be expected, anyway!)

  2. It always amazes me to see how fast they grow. You captured some good photos of the goose family.

  3. They are all lovely, Linda! And I see the adults' tongues out, which is not good. LOL!

  4. Those babies do grow fast.I like how fluffy they are.

  5. Welcome back, Linda.. I've missed you! Glad that your brother-in-law is doing so well --and has the needed help he needs... God Bless him...

I understand about blogging... I don't have time to visit all of the people who come to me --and I'm lucky to visit others once a week these days.. It can get overwhelming... SO--I understand.

Beautiful photos from the state park. I especially love seeing the Canada Geese BABIES.

  6. You got some wonderful pictures of the goose family. I'm glad you were able to enjoy your times at the park.

  7. Welcome back to blogging, Linda! I'm thrilled to find you here again and I'm looking forward to reading about your further adventures. :)

The goslings look very cute, and I like all the captures, what a family!

  8. Sweet photos of this beautiful little family. :)

  9. Really good to see some new images from your parts of the world. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!
