One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.
I fantasize about waking up in the morning to warm air, tropical breezes and colors like these. Just beautiful.
wonderful blues! you're looking for sun and warmth, aren't you? :)
The colour of the water is amazing. I see too many people on the beach,for my liking. Wait a minute,I am not a beach person ,even if there were no other people.
Whoa! Stunning photos. Can only imagine how exquisite it is in person. Bet it was hard to leave.
I would have to say that Hanauma Bay is beautiful -- period. The different shades of blue in the water is fascinating. It's obviously a very popular spot. Your photos are wonderful.
Stephen - Your fantasies can come true in Hawaii. :)Theresa - It just seemed like we needed a break from the snow and ice of the season. :)Ruth - It's a large beach with lots of space for all those people. I've never thought of myself as a beach person either. But the waters in Hanauma Bay are a delight to snorkel in, with so many amazing fish. And to sit in the shade of a palm tree with a good book (and a new husband), just enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean...well, it could make a beach person out of even you. :)Gail - You know what they say...home is where the heart is. Hawaii is a magical place to visit. But, if you lived there, where would you go on vacation? :)George - I think those varying shades of blue are caused by the presence of live coral in the waters. Whatever it is that creates those colors, it's truly a beautiful place.
That is a great place for a honeymoon. I've never been there but wanna go. I don't have a single picture from our honeymoon (did they have cameras in 1973?). But, the pictures in my mind are still clear.
Hi, GQ. Yep, that's the good thing about those mental snapshots...they don't seem to fade over time like the others do. The downside, though, is that you can't put them on your blog. :)
Hi, I've always read about those gorgeous colors of the water there --but WOW---your pictures really show them off... Makes me want to go to Hawaii NOW... haHugs,Betsy
Betsy - The beauty in Hawaii is just incredible. And remember, these are 25-year-old pictures...from slides. You and George really need to go. :)
