An Early Fall Assortment

These photos are all from early October, as the fall colors were just beginning to show themselves.

Luke Bryan Farm Tour - New Haven, Indiana - 2017

We took a different route home from the park that night, driving down some back country roads; and our route took us by a farm where Luke Bryan was performing a concert. Judging from the amount of traffic on those back roads, the concert must have been well attended...but many were arriving late due to the traffic jams.

Maples United Methodist Church

Not far from the location of the Luke Bryan concert was Maples United Methodist Church. The image of the church was a drive-by shot. It looked so pretty in the late-afternoon sun, with the ripened soybean field in the foreground, that I just had to try for a photo.

  1. Luke seemed to have a big following when I looked him up. He had a Farm Tour he finished the first of this month.Beautiful shots , you saved some of the best to share. I tried to post a reply to you and it wouldn't work and then was unsure of what email to use. That mothlooking butterfly was a Common Skipper, a varied family group, but always fun to find.I put the iD on my blog.Send mem a email and I will get rid of the old ones. Always like to chat with you.

    1. Thanks, Toni. I didn't have time to think about composition when I took that shot of the church, but I was pleased with the result anyway. Glad you liked it, too.

    1. Thank you, Petra. We drove by that church on another occasion, and it wasn't as captivating without that late-afternoon light on it. :)

    1. Thank you, Ruth. I grouped the mushroom shots because I couldn't decide which ones to leave out and felt that showing them all separately would bore people. They were pretty unique, though. I'm glad you liked them.

    1. Thanks, Mersad. We're actually still in the fall season here, although late fall. Much color is gone, but much still remains. Yes, country roads are a good way to see things from a different perspective.
