Arches: Several Arches & Fiery Furnace

Continuing with photos from Arches National Park on September 24...

Double Arch
For perspective, see if you can spot the people under the arch.

North Window Arch
Again, the people lend perspective.

Fiery Furnace

Fiery Furnace

The Fiery Furnace area is so named because of it's glowing red color when lit by the setting sun.

There's so much to see at Arches that it will take yet another post to wrap up our visit there.

  11. Just wow! I'm glad you pointed the people out for perspective. It's easy to fool yourself into believing that what must be full grown trees are just some low-lying brush in the foreground of the arches. They're MUCH bigger than I would have thought.

  15. Great arches, formations and sceneries, I especially like the rock formation in front of LaSal Mountains and the formation of Fiery Furnace in the last capture. Frankly, I wouldn't have noticed the people in the first photo if you didn't bring attention to them, Linda. At first sight the arches don't look that big so it's really good to have that comparison.
