Alone Yet Not Alone

You may have heard some of the scuttlebutt about the song, "Alone Yet Not Alone," from the movie of the same name. The song had been nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song, but the nomination was rescinded a few days ago. You can find articles about that decision on the Web simply by searching on the song's name. Here's a link to one such article.

Anyway, I thought you might like to hear the song, if you haven't already:

  1. I have heard the song, Linda. It is nice you are sharing it for those who may have not.

  2. it's a beautiful song - and her delivery was wonderful. amazing to project such a strong voice from a wheelchair - only because using the diaphragm so strongly must be difficult in a sitting position.

  3. Wow, her voice is amazing, and the song is beautiful. And I'd never have seen the video or heard the song if you hadn't posted it. We don't have (read that want) a tv. Have a great day.

  4. Simply beautiful! That took a lot of strength for her to sing that, but she asked for God to give her what she needed and he did!

I have gotten so disgusted with Hollywood, especially their award shows. The song may get even more attention now, let's hope.

  5. It's a lovely song, but rules are rules and the producers of this movie should have known campaigning for your project is a no-no.

  6. This is a beautiful song. I'm willing to bet that it is better than whatever eventually wins the Oscar.

  8. I haven't heard of either the film or the song, Linda, the song is beautiful. Gentle. It's interesting to listen to the difference in the singer's voice when she speaks and sings.

The reasons for rescinding the nomination seem fair, rules need to be observed by all.
