Saturday was a day marked by heavily clouded skies. Doug and I visited Doug's brother that evening, in another town a little over an hour away. As we drove home that night, it didn't seem possible that the setting sun would be able to penetrate those thick clouds, but it did.

oh, my! the 2nd to last shot made me say 'oh, WOW!' just beautiful progression!
ReplyDeleteYour sunset photos are gorgeous. You did a great job of showing the evolution of this beautiful end to a day.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a cell phone tower look more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou do need good clouds for a dramatic sunset.. of course you need the space between them to let the sun through. Clearly you got both. It always amazes me how something as ugly as a cell tower (or a construction site.. or otherwise boring building) can look stunning in the right sunlight. And you have indeed captured the right sunlight beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThe colourful cell phone tower lit by the setting sun looks impressive against the clouded sky, lovely contrast!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! I love the concept and the pictures are gorgeous.
