There were several of those little guys flying around, off shore a little ways, and pretty much buzzing around one small area. I did a little continuous shooting, and this was the only one that was in relatively good focus. The trick with most pictures of dragonflies is to wait and see where they land. Even if they flit away from that spot, the chances are that they will return to it. So just position yourself for a shot and wait for them to come back. Sometimes it doesn't work.
