That's probably where I saw them the most. When she was away, I could sneak into her room and look in that box. :) Of course, the big exception would be her wedding rings, which she always wore.Linda at To Behold The Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07419060763634934217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031302234429148594.post-88297321900271324432011-01-14T05:51:52.935-05:002011-01-14T05:51:52.935-05:00These are all just beautiful. I'm glad you're wearing some of them. :)Sandrahttp://addhumorandfaith.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031302234429148594.post-38632127920831669312011-01-11T18:28:40.787-05:002011-01-11T18:28:40.787-05:00Thank you, Kristina. I know that, with your traveling lifetsyle, you can't keep a lot of mementos; but I'm glad you kept your grandmother's locket. I think the day would have come when you would have regretted not having anything of hers.Linda at To Behold The Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07419060763634934217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031302234429148594.post-55944997942856045472011-01-11T15:55:59.978-05:002011-01-11T15:55:59.978-05:00These are so lovely! Just a year or two ago I realized no one else has anything from her and i decided to share it all among the nieces and nephews and my sibling. I saved one item, a locket with a photo of her as a toddler and as a young woman. It's so nice to have a piece of your mother in something so beautiful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031302234429148594.post-5062676974740409042011-01-11T00:03:53.072-05:002011-01-11T00:03:53.072-05:00Thanks so much, Betsy. Thanks so much, Betsy.Linda at To Behold The Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07419060763634934217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031302234429148594.post-59810149279046603472011-01-10T23:49:05.884-05:002011-01-10T23:49:05.884-05:00Beautiful Linda... Most of the rings featured in Treasures, Part 2 would need to be resized, and I'm not sure how much I would wear them. I'd like to see some of the things you inherited from your grandfather, too. I think you mentioned that you had been given his watch. And the fishing lures would probably be interesting to people who know something about them.Linda at To Behold The Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07419060763634934217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9031302234429148594.post-10814901985319137502011-01-10T18:56:34.867-05:002011-01-10T18:56:34.867-05:00These are fun and I hope you are wearing them. I laughed at getting all my Grandfathers fishing equipment and my Grandmohter said,"Why would I have given it to you if you weren't going to use it."One day while fishing ,a fellow sat down next to me and saw what i was using for a lure. He asked if i knew what it was. I said I got it from my Grandfather. He offered me $50 on the spot.I laughed and had a bunch appraised, finding I had a goldmine in lures and poles. I still use a lot of it, but put those lures aside. Even though I had lost a few,I knew they were put to good use.Out on the prairiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09548162534362532705noreply@blogger.com
